There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven.
We all know what it feels like to want to move on to the next thing. Sometimes we are waiting for something to change, waiting for an answer, or simply wishing the season we are in looked different. We can become so focused on what comes next that we miss what God is doing right now.
But not every season is meant to be rushed.
There Is a Time for Everything
Some seasons feel exciting and full of momentum. Others feel slow, uncertain, or even uncomfortable. It can be easy to assume that the difficult seasons are interruptions, something we need to get through as quickly as possible.
But Scripture reminds us that there is a time for everything.
God is not surprised by the season you're in. He is not waiting for you to finally get everything figured out before He can work in your life. Every season has something to teach us, something to shape in us, and sometimes something to prepare us for.
The waiting is not necessarily wasted time.
What If This Season Matters?
We often measure our lives by what we can see happening. If something is growing, changing, or moving forward, we feel like we're making progress. When nothing seems to be happening, we wonder if we've been forgotten.
But some of the most important things God does in us happen quietly.
Roots grow underground before anything appears above the surface. There are things God can develop in your life during a slower season that could never be developed through constant movement.
Maybe the season you're in isn't something you need to escape. Maybe it's something you need to receive.
Trusting God's Timing
Trusting God doesn't always mean knowing what comes next.
Sometimes faith looks like believing that God knows the right time even when we don't understand the timing ourselves. We may want the answer now, the change now, or the next opportunity now. But God's timing isn't controlled by our sense of urgency.
There is freedom in realizing we don't have to force every door open.
We can trust that God is still working even when we cannot see the whole picture. His timing may not match our plans, but that doesn't mean He has stopped moving.
Be Present Where You Are
It's easy to spend so much time thinking about where we're going that we forget to be present where we are.
The season you're in today is still part of your story. There are people to love, things to learn, moments to experience, and ways God can meet you right where you are.
You don't have to rush through today just to get to tomorrow.
Sometimes the invitation is simply to slow down, trust God, and recognize that this moment matters too.
Don't Rush What God Is Doing
We don't always get to choose the season we're in, but we can choose how we walk through it.
If you're waiting, you can trust Him.
If you're growing, you can receive it.
If you're uncertain, you can keep walking.
And if you're tempted to rush ahead, remember that God is not in a hurry.
There is a time for everything. And wherever you are right now, God is still there.
